During a spell at the recent Dirt Bike Show the Pendrich Kawasaki squad signed up to contest the 2014 indoor Arenacross series. Arenacrossuk.com were the first to break the news and this is what they had to say about it...Scottish favourite Bryan MacKenzie is the latest big name to sign up for the 2014 Arenacross tour with the proven race-winner recruiting Jordan Booker to the Pendrich Kawasaki team for a two-man tilt at the title on a pair of 250cc machines.“I definitely fancy my chances,” says 28-year-old Irn Bry. “I like to get out the gate fast and I like to hang it out, be intense and aggressive and that’s what you need for Arenacross!”While he’s a podium threat whenever he lines up outdoors, Bry is pretty much an unknown quantity in the adrenalin-charged world of indoor racing – not that he plans on letting his lack of experience get in the way of some solid results.“I’ve got pretty much zero Arenacross experience,” he admits. “I tried to do it on an 80cc bike once and fell over in a corner and broke my finger and that’s the top and bottom of my indoor career. But I’m looking forward to this season though. The people running the series understand what it’s all about and the track designs are more flowing which makes for better racing.”While Bry may be a newcomer to Arenacross his 21-year-old team-mate has a solid background in the sport.“I used to race indoors a lot when I was a kid and did pretty good with quite a few podiums,” says Bristol-based Jordan. “I also lived in America for a couple of years and rode a lot of the SX test tracks over there so I’m fairly confident.“It’s been something I’ve wanted to do and after the success of the 2013 series I felt it would be silly not to be a part of it.
